Small Biz Tip: Press Releases Done Right

The Small Business tips today will be about doing press releases right.

  1. Is your press release newsworthy? It has to get attention: something unique, a community service, a celebrity?
  2. Write a headline for the release that will grab the reader's attention.
  3. Prioritize information in the press release. Most important news items in first paragraph. Details later.
  4. Include contact information and respond to inquiries quickly.

Daily Overview: How important is your news? Don't cry wolf. Be interesting. Have priorities and be reachable.
