Kiva is a healing space for the integration of mind and body. It is modeled after a Japanese Bath House, where community members gather to cleanse, rejuvenate and nurture themselves in communal hot baths and saunas in in a lush, peaceful garden.
The open air hot tubs and the circular layered sauna at Kiva have been set up so that visitors can relax and connect in a safe, friendly, and beautiful setting.
Pay once for daily entrance to our communal facilities - stay until closing (or go and come back).
Family Friendly: Children welcome during daylight hours with their parents/guardians.
Private Tubs available by the hour.
Experienced Massage Practitioners: Each of our practitioners has at least five years of professional experience, and many have much more. We offer a variety of modalities. Please call for more information - 831-429-1142

Relaxing at Kiva is a Santa Cruz ritual. A peaceful Japanese-esque garden sporting Buddha statuary and several tubs of varying temperatures is the main draw. During the daytime the lawn is a fine place to sunbathe or practice yoga for an…

Massage variety by Ben K via Insider Pages on 3/29/2009
Every time I come to Kiva I get work done by a new massage therapist! There are so many well trained, professional masseuses there, and I love trying them out. They all have different training and modalities, so I'm constantly getting…
Couples Nights by Rebecca H via Insider Pages on 3/29/2009
Having a good time at Kiva is really dependent on feeling comfortable, and there being a good vibe out in the community area. Sometimes it seems there's a huge overabundance of men, which can make some people feel a bit uncomfortable…

never attained it's full potential... by Joseph O via Insider Pages on 2/15/2006
I've tried Kiva off and on for 2.5 years; it has never attained it's full potential because it's run by clueless, incompetent morons. Beautiful sauna but it's either scorching hot or not hot enough - they don't believe in actually using a…
Very Low Key by Amanda L via Insider Pages on 11/4/2005
Very low key, however a lot of the patrons take advantage of the clothing optional rule. If you are at all uncomfortable with this, I would recommend something more private like the Tea House. Overall though, a nice place to go and relax.
Hot tubbin by Celeste C via Insider Pages on 7/18/2005
This place has literally saved my sanity on many occasions. There are two hot tubs, a sauna, a cold plunge, and lots of grass for laying on. And delicious free tea. If you're a student, you can access the communal areas for a mere 12…

Great Outdoor Spas by taradelis_citysearch via Citysearch on 6/6/2002
What Kiva lacks in the way of Japanese gardens and combo saunas they more than make up for with their outdoor, redwood enclosed hottubs. Perfect for early evening R&R. And with Santa Cruz's gentle weather patterns, it's almost a year-round…
