The burritos here are enormous. I mean really big. So definitely come hungry or at least be prepared to take some home and have leftovers. It is really crowded.
The "It" Place by Amelia K via Insider Pages on 12/2/2008
This is a Berkeley classic. It has a great social atmosphere. It is a social capital building. I always run into someone I know there. Everyone must visit.

What can I say about Gordo's. I started going there in high school. Brought my college friends there when I was at Cal and still go back there whenever I get a chance even though I live 30 miles away now. I even got my wife hooked on…

For a down home attitude, an exceptionally low price, and simple but fantastic flavor, try a Gordo burrito. The guacamole is incredible (I sometimes dream of it) as well. Be wary of the chips, they are often stale. There are also Gordo…
BEST BURRITOS by valeria_083 via Citysearch on 5/5/2005
Gordo's has the best huge burritos; a great buy for your money. At times they have long lines-- but what do you think that says? TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT! SOO YUMMY!

Rather buy from a burrito truck by boso via Citysearch on 2/1/2004
Gordo is overpriced and the burritos are not authentic. Food from local "burrito trucks" taste much more authentic and are sold at a much lower price.
The BEST Guacamole by kflam via Citysearch on 12/11/2002
Try the Carne asada tacos, great BIG burritos and wonderful guacamole. The line moves quickly and be sure to specify soft or crispy for your tacos. They ROCK! I live in New York now and HOW I miss my Gordo! Cheap, too!
