Rocky Mount Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center, P.L.L.C. opened its doors on August 1, 1991 with the arrival of Dr. J. Greg Nelson who had just completed his orthopedic residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. Coming from a fellowship training program in joint replacement, Dr. Greg V. McAvoy joined the practice in 1995. Doctors Nelson and McAvoy are both board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and along with their staff are well qualified to meet your needs.
