My Review by 42244224th via Citysearch on 7/23/2012

Great place for a quiet dinner! The food is always very good! Try the scallops with lobster mac and cheese. By the way excellent martini's. Randy is the owner and he is always very attentive to the needs of his customers.

Don't waste your money! by DaisyP via Citysearch on 6/29/2011

Went to Midtown Cafe for a lunch meeting today and we were all extremely disappointed. The food was very expensive and tasted cheap. Also, the servers were very unattentive. My business associates and I will never return.

Never going back. by WNMJ via Citysearch on 3/25/2011

My wife and I went for our first Anniversary. Midtown was special because it was where we had our first nice dinner while we were dating and where we celebrated our engagement with our families. Things have changed since then. I had the…

No Corkage Fee!!! by LBell via Citysearch on 7/2/2009

This place is awesome. Carmen, the waitress, knew more about wine than anyone at our table. We took 5 out of town guests here from Chicago, LA and Atlanta and they were all impressed. One guy brought some white wine from France and the…

We'll be back ! by mdtrades via Citysearch on 5/26/2009

The concierge at Lowe's Vanderbilt recommended Midtown Cafe. She was so right! The menu had so much great stuff I can't wait to get back to Nashville to try something else. After trying to decide between Duck or Lamb I went with the…

Returning to an old friend by George62 via Citysearch on 4/13/2009

After spending 6 months overseas, my wife and I decided to go to Midtown last Saturday night. It was like returning to an old friend. We were seated at our favorite table. Our waiter took really good care of us. We had a great bottle…

Inconsistent by RighterOfWrongs via Citysearch on 2/8/2009

Sometimes, you go to a restaurant and everything is great; food, service, ambience, wine list, etc. Then you go back a month later and it?s like the chef took the night off and left the janitor in charge of the kitchen.\r \r That?s what…

Great Evening by greg90 via Citysearch on 1/28/2009

I went to Midtown with a group 10 . They had our table all ready, we were seated immediately. \r We started out with great martinis. Our server gave us several recomendations. I took one of his suggestion, the Tuna with a mustard sauce,…

Good try, but just not enough! by mcwcue via Citysearch on 6/22/2008

My husband and I decided to visit Midtown for our 1 year anniversary. We've been to Sunset Grill before and loved it, so we decided that since Midtown is their sister company, it must also be good.... at best it's just fine. We got there…

Fabulous, fun atmosphere and great food by uk1977 via Citysearch on 5/22/2008

My husband, myself, and one other couple had an early dinner at The Midtown Cafe before attending a concert at the Ryman. Upon being seated we informed the waitress what time we needed to leave to be at our show. My husband was very…

Highly Overrated by resturantconnoisseur via Citysearch on 3/15/2008

I love food. I've been to this resturant in the past for a work lunch. I had lamb chops and they were fantastic! This was about four years ago. A few weeks ago, I was craving lamb and remebered the resturant, this time spending my own…

looking for a bargain by foodie2nashville via Citysearch on 3/5/2008

I frequent Midtown Cafe evey few months for lunch. I always get something different but I start with the artichoke soup. I used to think it is the best in town until I had the artichoke soup at Bridges in Belle Meade. Wow! It is excellent.…

Overrated!!! by dejager via Citysearch on 10/23/2006

Carpaccio was so thin you had to scrape it of your plate and it was served with mustard!\r Mussels were undercooked. the marlin was overcooked. The brussel sprouts were on the menu as caramelized, but in reality hardly blanched.\r All in…

Alittle about Tricia by ishmael1979 via Citysearch on 7/18/2006

About Tricia.......i've never met her, but the way she writes about herself is creative and confident. She must be good.
