Ash Fork, AZ is a quaint little town, part of what was once Route 66 still runs directly through Ash Fork! Route 66 provided a boost to the town’s economy in the '50s. Some of the historic buildings, and old railroad company houses can still be seen today. Certain areas of the town were selected to be used as sets in the filming of 1992’s Universal Soldier, including an old motel, which was blown up for cinematic effect. The surrounding geographical area and settlements also served as inspiration for the 2006 Pixar film "Cars". This historic community features the Ash Fork Route 66 Museum, located at 901 W. Old Route 66, (just across the street from our park) which displays not only Route 66 memorabilia, but, more exhibits and information on area history, as well as plenty of souvenirs. Many of Northern Arizona’s most visited attractions are located within driving distance of this friendly little town. We are also a great base camp for hunting and fishing.
