Never called in my prescription by No on 8/2/2026

 

Not cool when you go and four hours later, your prescription was never called in. They should’ve called in my prescription when I was in the office or just leaving the office four hours later and the prescription still has not been called in. I am not happy.

My husband fell last month with serious would above eyebrow. CAT scan and stitches- immediate courteous professional care. Then I went for 6 day neck pain- saw me immediately and sent me home with some relief. I am grateful they are here in Fountain Hills. Don’t hesitate to go.

I don't usually do reviews. Everyone can have a bad day. This I feel is needs to be said. This was wrong. This doctor was nice. He was a really nice man. But if you're that tired go home and get some sleep. Having a bad day? Don't put people in pain in more pain. Take care of yourself so you can take care of others. BUT..this shouldn't have happened.
I came to this ER in severe shoulder blade pain. The doctor was checking on any heart issues since the pain radiated. I came in around 7pm. He ruled out heart issues through labs, xrays and CT but still went on and on about the heart. I told him I was very sensitive to pain meds. He still gave one that did just what I told him it would do. He said I'd need to be transferred to a hospital by ambulance for further heart tests. He never addressed the pain in my shoulder blade until I was discharged after another test for the heart, and at this point he stood before me unable to even keep his eyes open. That was concerning! He stated at this time he wanted to give me another pain med and keep me until I tolerated a pain med. WHAT?? Then it was lets wait 30 minutes and if you have no pain you can go home. WHAT?? He waited long amounts of time without checking in and telling me anything. He was taking a nap at the desk. My daughter and I were in that room uncomfortable, I was sick from the pain med and tired with hardly any communication from the doctor unless the nurse went to get him from 7pm to 6am the next morning! I realize graveyard doctors need sleep but he looks more comfortable than I or my daughter were! (Oh and still no help. He said advil isn't ibuprofen and morphine has codeine in it (it doesn't and advil is ibuprofen). Two things a doctor should know!) I was at this ER last August in 2025 and the doctor at that time was fantastic. This one seemed to be without knowledge on shoulder blade pain. I appreciated the concern and check on heart issues but he ruled that out and kept going with it. Wasted resources. An ER doctor should be well educated on everything. Shoulder blade pain is not a need for a transfer. Any heart issues were already cleared and ruled out. I wound up needing 3 large amounts of anti nausea meds because of the pain med he said I had to have after I told him what happens. I trusted him. The pain was gone but how sick it made me was not so fun. He didn't see it as sick, he said I needed it because of the pain. I was very disappointed and a bit angry. Too much time (11 hours!), not enough knowledge, not enough communication and a few too many naps. Perhaps a day doctor would be better suited and not in dealing with anything muscular. If I ever need to go to the ER again I'll call to see who the doctor is in this facility first and maybe just go to Scottsdale. I've never spent this much time with little communication from the doctor at any ER. On another note; the nurse was fantastic!! She was awesome!
