After franchising with Jamba Juice for 6 years, I started a Hawaiian restaurant. I wanted to provide a healthier, tastier, hawaiian menu. And as a Polynesian, my thought process also changed. "It's all about quality, not quantity." We make all of the sauces from scratch, to say the least. That's one of the secrets to a great dish. Next is to provide fresh salad and quality meat. I came up with the name Moki's. Moki, is short for Mokihana -- a Hawaiian tree that serves many purposes for the Hawaiian native. It's in the citrus family of trees and provides oil, leis, tapa, cloth, perfume, edible fruit, rope, and firewood. Moki's doors opened up 6 years ago with a bang! We're still having fun and planning on more growth. I look forward to see you soon at our humble abode. Thank you, Maholo. Masa Tukuafu Owner Note: I also offer service in two other businesses: - Tapa Sports Management, providing full service to all athletes. - Kona Property Maintenance, maintenance on commercial property, RV parks, churchs, residential homes, etc. Mission Statement Moki's existance is to provide the true spirit of Aloha. We will provide great service, delicious food, and a casual, fun atmosphere.

Great place to grab a quick bite that's not the usual fast food. My favorite is the teriyaki chicken and the spinach salad. Nice atmosphere and a friendly staff make it a great place to relax for a quick meal.
Great Hawaiian Grill by Amy B on 11/20/2008 via Insider Pages
Moki's is not only a fun place to eat, but the food is very good. The quality of the food is much better than most Hawaiian grills in the valley. The manapua is excellent. The prices are reasonable and it has a family atmosphere.

If you love Hawaiian food, this is a great place to go. It can get a bit crowded, as it is small, but we've always been able to get seated. I would suggest it more for lunch than for dinner, as it is more fast-food than fine dining.

Moki's is by far my favorite place for Hawiian fair. We love the teriyaki beef with their spinach salad. Their mango ice cream is to die for. As is their coconut ice cream! Their rice is sublime also!
