Carlos Mancilla, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized expertise in metabolic health and chronic disease prevention. His background in emergency medicine sharpened his clinical judgment and decision-making in high-acuity, fast-paced environments. Dr. Mancilla uses nutrition and lifestyle-based therapies including carbohydrate reduction and intermittent fasting to treat conditions like obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and mental health disorders. He also performs outpatient procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage and cyst excision, and uses point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to enhance diagnostics and procedures. Known for his thorough and detail-oriented approach, Dr. Mancilla takes time to understand each patient’s concerns and tailors care plans that align with their health goals and values. Originally from Delmar in Upstate New York, Dr. Mancilla most enjoys spending time with his family.
