As an endocrinologist, Dr. Maris diagnoses and treats the following disorders: Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, adrenal disorder, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). She uses an evidence-based approach to treatment while still maintaining a personalized tailored approach geared toward the patient's individual needs. Obesity is both a lifestyle and hormonal disorder and requires extensive hormonal lab work to evaluate for any underlying endocrine diseases prior to initiating therapy.
