5 stars out ofLa Dijonaise Cafe Inc is OK, but... by Bob W on 8/20/2009 via Insider Pages
We have been to La Dijonaise Cafe a few times, always with high hopes. It never was that satisfying. The food is OK, but not great. I wouldn't say don't go, the baked good are very good, but the rest is just OK.
OK place for down to earth people. by Edward P on 8/12/2009 via Insider Pages
This is a friendly neighborhood place--for French food! Good, competent food served up quickly in an informal setting. Not a place for Saturday night dates, but a great place to bring your kids. Fried items are great--hot and crispy.
Decent prices and portions by Reiko F on 8/11/2009 via Insider Pages
Good french food at decent prices. There is always a variety to satisfy different tastes. Their escargot is quite good with very flavorful garlic butter.
it's like they're trying to pass off canned soup as homemade by mh2mh on 2/15/2009 via Menuism
I really dislike this place. I didn't like it the first time, then I went back to give it another try, and...
Mediocre French by Dianne J on 12/18/2008 via Insider Pages
This place always seems to be crowded and it is hard to understand why. We ate there twice, lunch and dinner, and it was mediocre at best. Having a hard time remembering what I even had, but I do remember it was oversauced and the meat was…
Good, except... by anne90034 on 6/20/2008 via Citysearch
Cute little restaurant with pretty decent food. I had the chicken with Dijon mustard sauce, my only complaint would be that it was very salty!! I actually think it came from the chicken itself. It tasted like salt water injected chicken...…
Horrible by monavisionlosangeles on 6/12/2008 via Citysearch
I will have to say that it is convenient to come here because it's around the corner from the work place, but the service is TERRIBLE. I mean it's one of those kind of places, you know the one where the employees think that you need them…
Consistently Spotty by beachcruiser on 3/31/2008 via Citysearch
I guess 'quirky' best decribes the food, service and atmosphere. The food is sometimes good, sometimes adequate and sometimes tasteless. On the plus-side: it's CHEAP! It's anyone's guess if you'll be served bread or not, and you must be…
go for the bread, but get it to go. by reviewer25 on 12/28/2007 via Citysearch
We really like this restaurant, and want to continue to do so, but they are making it so difficult. The service is really terrible. We have made excuses for them the past 2 times and after the last visit decided we won't be breakfasting…
NEEDS QUALITY CONTROL by robert_tom on 12/19/2007 via Citysearch
I am a positive person who loves food, loves cooking, and I?m a good home cook myself. On the positive side, I?ve been to La Dijonaise many times for LUNCH and have always had a good experience. Also positive is that tonight for DINNER…
Poor quality food and service. by alefeusch on 12/8/2007 via Citysearch
I wish I could say better things about this place, as it is 2 seconds from where I work... but it's just plain old bad. They do a booming business, so you'd think everything would be fresh but it's not. Things always taste stale and food…
Where's the flavor? by docmarv on 7/2/2007 via Citysearch
This was a very disappointing experience. If you're expecting a Paris-style bistro -- think again. The rib-eye steak, while wonderfully tender, tasted like nothing at all. The vegetables (beans and carrots) were soggy and school cafeteria…
It used to be 5-star, but now 4-star for me by luvocean on 6/25/2007 via Citysearch
I go to La Dijonaise once in every 2~3 months for the last couple of years, but I feel like the quality of their food has dropped a little and still keeps dropping. Am I the only one who feels that way? They still have great service and…
Love the food, but... by heyhayles on 6/21/2007 via Citysearch
My boyfriend and I have been to La Dijonaise maybe 5 to 10 times, usually on the weekends. Toward the beginning, we really enjoyed it. I love the food, the lunch/brunch prices are great, and it has a nice feel and decor. Also, we have…
Never, ever get food to go. by elijahsnow on 5/21/2007 via Citysearch
I like the food at La Dijonaise. I love their pastries (with one exception: the nasty, days-old muffins on the top shelf of their baked goods). And I do like the service when I stop in for a lunch on weekdays.\r \r What I don't like is how…
Substance over Style by radiancelee on 1/28/2007 via Citysearch
This little modern french bistro/bakery is a wonderful secret gem in Culver City. Located in the Buttercup Warehouse, it filled up for Sunday brunch with a high turnover where we were lucky to get a table. The lunch menu is more limited…
Excellent little French place by dmenkes on 11/15/2006 via Citysearch
I've been here a number of times for lunch. It's within walking distance from where I've worked so it's very convinient. Their salad with prawns has been a favorite, though their pasta dishes aren't the best. The lamb is excellent here. A…
Best. Soup. Ever. by lwhitneyb on 10/26/2006 via Citysearch
The french onion soup they have there is just as good as the soup I had in the shadow of the Eiffel tower. The bread was the perfect consistancy, warm in the middl.e I cant rave enough... it worth parking the car.
Food so good by clsam on 10/22/2006 via Citysearch
Great overall experience, the food was sooooo good! We started with the calamari, and for entrees we had the half roasted chicken and the chicken crepes. Everything was very tasty and the service was decent. I wish we saved enough room…
