I would not use Draegers to buy basic food because the markup is so high. But if you are looking for deserts, and speialty items, it is a good bet. They have an excellent selection of cheeses and appetizer items for a dinner party.

Los Altos and its surrounding area seems to be filled with great gourmet grocery stores. I find the Draeger's in Los Altos to be good, but the one in Menlo Park is great.

Draegers has a great selection of cheeses, wines, candies and lots of fresh fruit. Some of the items, e.g. Scharffen Berger cocoa is quite expensive ($9.99 per container) and at Whole Foods it's only $6.99 per container. \r
