Great food but could be much cheaper! by adamstaller on 6/2/2011 via Citysearch

I love Benihana, even though it is a chain, the food is great and the cooks repeat the routine over and over again, nothing new has happened since the day they opened in SF. I feel that it could be much cheaper!

Great lunch special by MelSF on 3/17/2010 via Citysearch

Benihana's food is really great. I especially love their chicken fried rice. It is usually pretty pricey, but if you come here during lunch they have a great deal. For around ~$10 you can get a meat dish, fried rice, soup, and a green…

best of both world by d101382 on 3/16/2008 via Citysearch

Awesome place!! by lisamarie51284 on 2/16/2007 via Citysearch

I had an awesome time at Benihana! We started out with a sushi roll which was very good and then had steak and shrimp it all tasted delicious! The fried rice was the best and the chef was very entertaining. The prices were good and the…

BENIHANA! by James D. on 10/13/2005 via Judy's Book

Benihana is a great place to eat at! i love it it has great food. They cook right in front of you and they do special tricks. It is very exciting. But my guy that did my cooking really sucked.

My Review by Mike T. on 9/15/2005 via Judy's Book

This restaurant doesn't serve what I'd call authenic Japanese food. If you're looking to be entertained, go here. After being seated, your food is prepared in a performance by one of the chefs. You'll see the chef chop-chop with his…

TOO EXPENSIVE! by maywe219 on 8/22/2003 via Citysearch

The service was terrific, friendly fun lively chef, waitresses refilling your water every 5 minutes, it was a fun and entertaining experience, but the food was NOT worth it. The sushi was good, but you can get good sushi anywhere. The…

Whoopity Doo by Chryss on 6/23/2003 via Citysearch

The food here is too salty and overpriced. Only go if you want to see some guy twirl his knife. Other than that, expect bad food and bad service. You can bbq at home for a better price than ~$30/person.

Poor Service, Poor Quality by csw1134 on 11/20/2002 via Citysearch

The service was poor. No one ever came to check for refills on drinks. The food was very salty. The soup was very salty. The Chef on the other hand was wonderful and pleasant. Everything was extra. If you wanted fried rice it was $2.50…

so-so. by baraksf on 9/20/2002 via Citysearch

The All you can Eat sushi experience is interesting. They seat you in a separate dining area from the rest of the restaraunt and give you a paper with 2 lists. You order as many you want from the first list, but you have to order at least…

Hey I was entertained! by liltummy_bigeater on 9/8/2002 via Citysearch

Read the other review for this place...I guess it doesn't take much to get me entertained, but I was impressed by the charming chef, his onion volcano, and beating heart made of rice! Fun and different from any other restaurant, my friends…
