I am certain that this place is one of the best places to go and get the best and the most satisfying Chinese food out in this city. They got the recipe of a good business right here.

They have a good team in the kitchen in here, everything that we tried were so hearty and good for the soul, this is certainly the soul food of the Chinese culture.
Cantonese flavors and execution that by Kevymac on 10/12/2012 via Citysearch
Cantonese flavors and execution that can't be beat. Don't get lured into ordering the crispy whole fried crab, rather, delve into Peking Duck, Roasted Sea Bass, Seafood Lettuce Cups, and the Fried Pork with Crispy Skin, you can't find…
My Review by stevey174 on 7/10/2012 via Citysearch
The food is very tasty. I enjoyed their crab specialty and beef dishes. It's better than your average Chinese restaurant. R and G seems like they have come up with different Chinese dishes. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

R & G Lounge by cwcooke on 9/13/2010 via Gayot
Every time I visit San Francisco, I have to make a visit to the R & G Lounge for some awesome Chinese food. I was first introduced to the R & G Lounge when visiting San Francisco with 2 friends. The food is always consistently good.

I always hear about how great this restuarant is but I view it as americanized chinese food. Not bad but not really really good either.
Horrible Service, Horrible Atmosphere by AimeeGeorge on 10/28/2009 via Citysearch
I should have known when the hostess seated us. Right behind her our would-be waiter was swatting flies with an electronic tennis racket fly zapper. Everytime he hit one it would zap like a mosqito zapper people have in their back yards.…
Disappointment by allen17 on 4/29/2009 via Citysearch
The restaurant looks good on the outsde but on the inside it looks dirty. The dishes are dirty and the service is poor. The food is not so good. You should not come here.
Will Never Eat Here Again Until Shark Fin Soup is Removed by FreqTravelers on 4/19/2009 via Citysearch
I was very upset when I found out that Shark Fin Soup was on the menu. I should have got up and left that moment, but I didn't. Regardless, I feel terrible that I didn't leave. After watching the movie SharkWater, I've become very…
What a disappointment by Likestotravel1954 on 2/25/2009 via Citysearch
I was expecting this restaurant to be something special. Sadly, the service was poor, the dishes were dirty, and there was an uncharacteristic crunch to the rice that didn't belong. I can't be explicit in this review, but trust me it…
Authentic Chinese style dishes by pink99 on 12/12/2008 via Citysearch
The food here is as authentic as it gets in San Francisco. It resembles Chinese home style cooking. I tend to order the same items each time I dine here, that is, fried crab, pan fried ground pork with preserved fish, large bean sprouts,…
Not so Clean by dondata on 12/5/2008 via Citysearch
The good is alright but it didnt look to clean. The service wasn't top notch but they were prompt on getting the food out. I don't know if this is a good thing.
IF YOU LIKE TASTELESS, FRIED, GLOPPY CHICKEN BUTTS, HEAD TO R&G. IT MADE ME SICK -- REALLY!!! by FussonaBudget on 12/4/2008 via Citysearch

Sanitation and customer services to be improved by scorpionfish on 12/3/2008 via Citysearch

Great Food, Worth the Wait by Joseph B on 8/25/2008 via Insider Pages
We went to the R & G on a Saturday night at dinner hour and should have expected the 45 minute wait for a table. It was worth it though. We had clay pot chicken with onion and a candied shrimp and walnut dish which were both superb. I…
Best Chinese, I love the crab and crispy noodles by patchan on 8/11/2008 via Citysearch
