Great food and the best bartender in town!
My Review by Deluxity via Citysearch on 6/16/2015
The Hamlet was revamped and has new management. I am local, and as far as a quick bite, it's all good. The prices are reasonable and the French onion soup is what it's all about at the hamlet.\r
Give um a second try. YUMMY!!
Unsanitary by LorenS via Citysearch on 9/21/2009
I was really disappointed with this place, it's not how I remembered it. Server and host were great but food quality went down, dishes and silverware were dirty. Bathroom wasn't very clean either. Managers are mean.
Not coming back to that…
good food by Anthony N via Insider Pages on 3/17/2009
Pretty good food. Obviously a tasty burger. Nothing really special about the place though. Just another kinda fancy burger joint. I'm sure if you gave a damn you could find something better.
Best Burgers, Salads, and Asian Pear Martini! by kimchambers1 via Citysearch on 10/20/2007
I had not been to Hamlet in years. When I entered, I noticed the dining area was nicer than I remembered. The bartender recommended her Asian Pear Martini. Outstanding!\r

Better than I remembered by jk31 via Citysearch on 3/22/2007
I haven't been to Hamburger Hamlet for years. I just got back from the one in Sherman Oaks. It was better than ever! It has a great menu, with a huge variety for all tastes. Great Job!
They have recreated themselves by fairhand via Citysearch on 3/18/2007
I recently visited Hamlet in Sherman Oaks. First of all, they changed their name to "Hamlet Sherman Oaks". Upon entering I noticed they completley updated the interior. New furniture, and carpet. And a new menu. The food was amazing, and…
A hamburger icon slipping by montalk via Citysearch on 2/11/2007
This always used to be my top "fancy" hamburger in L.A., especially at their always popular Sherman Oaks location. However, just like their aging clientele, their hamburgers have seen better days. The "Just Plain and Delicious" is now just…
Great ambiance, service, location, price... by jennandskyler via Citysearch on 2/10/2007
The food was very good and there was more of a selection than expected. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was very good. A great plus is that they're open until 11:00pm and at 10:30 they're not trying to kick you out. Would…
THE BEST PANCAKES EVER! by barlee1 via Citysearch on 6/2/2005
I frequent the Hamlet on Van Nuys Blvd. every Sunday for two reasons. The pancakes and the service. These hotcakes are so light, and thin, nobody comes close. And we are treated so well by the staff. I just wish they had the pancakes on…
Not just Burgers by jaduck via Citysearch on 5/28/2005
Hearing the name Hamburger Hamlet, one might think it is a burger joint. But I was pleasantly surprised when I found they are closer to an upscale restauarnt. It is excellent!
Outstanding by rickysher via Citysearch on 5/27/2005
I used to go to Halet as a little girl with my parents. I heard someone mention the Hamlet, and I had not gone there in years. I tried the one on Van Nuys bl. and was very impressed with the service, and the food. Good Job!
Awsome! by evanman via Citysearch on 5/26/2005
After a movie, my friends and I visisted the Hamlet on Van Nuys Blvd. It was late, but we got a friendly greeting when we came in, and our waiter was funny and helped us enjoy our meal. The burgers were outsatnding!
Service - Food- complete package by charduck via Citysearch on 5/13/2005
Having been living in the L.A. area for most of my 82 years, I have dined at 1000's of restaurants. I am a firm believer that service is the number one reason that I return to a restaurant. And that is the main reason I frequent Hamburher…
Gourmet Burgers! by kobe8 via Citysearch on 5/5/2005
After finding out that they no longer had my favorite Nachos on their menu, my Waiter suggested I try the Nacho Burger. It was amazing! Topped with guacamole, sour cream, jalepenos, salsa, chili, cheese and tortilla chips, it was truely a…
That's what I call a burger! by kobedidntdoit8 via Citysearch on 5/6/2005
At first I was disappointed when I found out they discontinued serving their Nachos. (The best) But then my waiter suggested I try their Nacho Burger. It was incredible! All the topping you would exoect on nachos, but on a burger! Even the…
As good as my memories were by fairhand1 via Citysearch on 4/23/2005
Having dined at the Hamlet in Sherman Oaks as a kid, I had wonderful memories of the incredible burgers, and that onion soup fondue. After moving back to the valley after many years, I visited the Hamlet once again. I was amazed that…
