For over 30 years we've called Sunnyvale home, serving up traditional Italian dishes all made from scratch right here in house. We love seeing the look of delight on a guest's faces when they take that first bite, and it's hard not to smile when you're enjoying some gumbalicious pasta or a slice of hot, fresh pizza. Aside from the classics, we also serve a variety of signature salads, vegetarian options, and even weekend brunch to enjoy, as well. Whether you're stopping by for a workday lunch, dinner with the family, or heading out with friends for Sunday Funday, we're always here to welcome you! Recently renovated in 2025. Catering available! Order online for pick-up or delivery!

out of 5 starsPizza is good. by Del R on 10/5/2009 via Insider Pages
Decent but rather bland italian restaurant. The thing to get here is the pizza if you have a large enough group. Uninspired food otherwise A bit cramped with plastic tablecloths.
Wasn't that great for lunch by Paul S on 9/22/2008 via Insider Pages
Cramped, uncomfortable booths. The food was uninspired (Fettuchini Bolonese) and the meatballs were raw inside. Salad dressing was oily and tasted bland.

Great Pizza! by tall1sobay on 11/14/2006 via Citysearch
This is my favorite Pizza place in the Southbay. Their pizza's are huge! And one of the best crusts I've ever had. It's been a while since I had anything other than pizza here. The pasta dishes used to be ok, but not great. It sounds…
Good deal on lunch by Tapan K on 5/16/2006 via Insider Pages
This place has good choices for veggies. Some of their specials are also veggie. Give nice warm bread with any entree. The ambience is ok, looks way too crowded.

Great deal on good italian food by Janice S on 4/19/2006 via Insider Pages
Gumbas restaurant is a great place to bring your date or your family. The pesto pizza is good. The wait isn't so long, and the atmosphere is homey. You get ice cream at the end of each meal, even if you didnt ask.
Gumba's rebirth by viareggio on 4/12/2006 via Citysearch
The original owner is back and the food is superb. Large menu. For under $16 your served soup or salad, fresh garlic bread, pasta with fresh pesto sauce, entree with veggies all in ample portions. Great pizza's to go in many sizes. I like…
Great Italian Fare for Families by Jill B on 3/6/2006 via Insider Pages
Gumba's offers a friendly staff and satisfying meals. This is a great place for families--plenty of seating and a casual atmosphere. The portions are large--enough to take home. Normally not too busy except on farmer's market days (Sat.)
Decent home-style Italian in Sunnyvale by Jason B. on 11/18/2005 via Judy's Book
If you're looking for some basic, home-style Italian you can always try Gumba's in downtown Sunnyvale. The food is not inspiring, and the decor is a bit dated, but the price is right. It has a VERY loyal following of long time Sunnyvale…
Gumba's by Stephen C. on 8/5/2005 via Judy's Book
Gumba's in downtown Sunnyvale serves authentic Italian food. Gumba's has got to have the best portions when it comes to pizzas. Its medium pizza is around the same size as a large elsewhere and its large is extra large. Their calzone is…
Inconsistent by kg_eater on 7/28/2004 via Citysearch
Gumba's has good pizzas, especially for its price. It also has pretty good pastas such as its Cajun style pasta. However, Gumba's dishes are not consistently tasty. The salads are not well tossed or cut. Also, the dressings are too thick…
Good family style food by sebschef on 10/22/2002 via Citysearch
Gumba's has got to have the best portions when it comes to pizzas. Its medium pizza is around the same size as a large elsewhere and its large is extra large (don't ask how big the extra large is!). The other dishes however don't come…
