I'm puzzled by these negative reviews. I have only dined at the location at 18th and Humboldt and don't have a single complaint. A $66 dollar tab? Are you sure? My husband and I each had a glass of wine ($3 each--happy hour special), an…
Almost perfect dining experience by Michael A on 3/18/2010 via Insider Pages
I have been a big fan of the Thai Eggplant for a decade now. It's so good it should be illegal. The chairs and tables are a bit uncomfortable, but the food is always worth it. Go in warm weather and sit on their patio!
Yummy! by ronit h on 2/8/2010 via Insider Pages

Thai Basil is a horrible! They say it is a thai restraunt but is it not! It is all American Chinese food! The Drunken Noodles are all covered and sunk with stinky nasty goo! The service was extremly terrible! They don' ask you if you want…
Very Good Pad Thai by Dip1098 on 5/13/2009 via Citysearch
This is a great date spot. The atmosphere is very soothing and cultural. The food is served uniquely. The service was nice and fast. The food was delicious. I have ordered from them for delivery at least once a week since my initial visit.
Pathetic Service by jflynn07 on 1/3/2009 via Citysearch
The food is great, but the service is embarassing. We walked in tonight at 9:55pm, and were informed upon seating that closing time is 10:30, so we better eat quick. At 10pm they started cleaning the floors, stacking chairs, while we…

This place is WAYYYYY too over rated! The price is reasonable but the food is horrible! More than 75% of the dishes are chinese NOT THAI!! The spring rolls were hard and I believe it's been a day or 2 old. If you want chinese food, then…
Not authentic Thai I was hoping for by Kim88899 on 9/26/2008 via Citysearch
I didn't find the food to be authentic Thai at all. Itwas more like American Chinese. I was disappointed.
Yummy Thai Food by Cara C on 7/23/2008 via Insider Pages
I really like this restaurant. It is a nicely decorated cozy restaurant , and reasonably priced. The first time I went, I had a dish I really liked (pad se lew with shrimp) and have the same main dish each time I go. Would highly…

Great atmosphere, delicious Sesame Beef! by pastazia on 1/14/2008 via Citysearch
As soon as I walked into Thai Basil, I was impressed. I enjoy a romantic atmosphere and Thai Basil has it! I love the big stuffed chairs, the "canopy bed" style booths, the twinkling candle-lit tables, and the arched ceiling. Eating at…
Waaaay downhill... by daphnesmom on 8/29/2007 via Citysearch
Used to be a huge Thai Basil fan... was craving Thai last night so we drove across town to Thai Bail. What happened to this place??? I have to echo the other reviews in saying that the food has gone down the drain. My Drunken Noodles…
dissapointing - no real thai food here - go down the street to swing thai by in_the_no on 8/28/2007 via Citysearch
\r Great furniture, good atmosphere, the service was decent. If you are from the Mid-West (and not Chicago)\r and if you have not had Thai food before then the marketing will sway you. The food is WAY too sugary. Truly go down the…
Deceiving people & Terrible food by janesearch on 8/1/2007 via Citysearch
I've been there once. The service was great. I got the food within two minutes after ordering. The rapidness was very stunning but the taste of the food was terrible. Every dish that I ordered tasted and looked the same. Vegetables were…

I have been here many times and I have never had a bad meal. The new one that just opened on 38th has fast delivery and it is free. The lunch boxes are also great!
Perhaps for desert... by channonholiday on 5/7/2007 via Citysearch
Good lord, the food here is sweet. WAY too much sugar. This probably works fine for the Midwest palate, but if you like real Thai food (here I'm talking Thailand, or Thai restaurants of San Francisco, Seattle, Portland), then you will find…
Drowning in sauce! by leighette on 1/22/2007 via Citysearch
Finding a good Thai place in Denver has been a difficult search, and unfortunately Thai Basil was just about as mediocre as a restaurant can get. The decor is nice and the dinnerware they use is interesting--beautiful clay pots for the…
There's always a line and it's loud, but the reasonably priced Thai food is more than good. by Contributor on 10/20/2006 via Citysearch
In Short
Brightly painted walls are decorated with huge colorful fish. The room is crowded with tables and almost always noisy, putting a damper on intimate conversation. Entree options include tofu, chicken or shrimp smothered…Some data provided by Citysearch
