Welcome to Purgatory Cellars Winery. We are proud to be a local handcrafted winery serving the Denver metropolitan area. Purgatory Cellars Winery is a Colorado based Winery with European charm. Our wines are crushed, fermented, & bottled locally. We have a new tasting room conveniently locate in Highlands Ranch and also offer a wine club. Our Story -First batch of wine, 9000 bottles, were produced in 2014. In 2015- we established the Purgatory Cellars Winery in Parker, Colorado (Douglas County). Our grapes are grown and sourced primarily from in Colorado, some grape varietals in New Mexico. We enriched the wine spectrum in Colorado, as well as in the U.S. by introducing amphora wine making technique, i.e. producing wines in amphorae, clay pots hardly present technique in this part of the world. We are proud to be just one of 3 wineries in the nation to use the amphorae pots as part of our fermenting process. We are also proud to be the most awarded winery in Denver winning several Colorado Governors Cup medals. Purgatory Cellars welcomes request for special events, parties and celebrations.
