Jillian Simard is a fellowship-trained medical oncologist with a focus on breast cancer. She sees patients at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital, and is a clinical associate for the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Simard brings a multidisciplinary background in patient care, translational research and clinical trials, with a particular interest in improving outcomes for patients with breast cancer through personalized and evidence-based treatment strategies. Dr. Simard received her medical degree from the UCSF School of Medicine, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center, where she was part of the Women’s Health Track and received a Resident Teaching Award. She then completed a clinical fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), where she also served as a research fellow in the Lymphoid Malignancies Branch. During her time at the NCI, Dr. Simard participated in multiple clinical research efforts, including serving as lead associate investigator for a Phase 2 trial for secondary CNS lymphoma. Her research portfolio includes designing early-phase clinical trials and contributing to peer-reviewed publications in journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine and Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma & Leukemia. Dr. Simard is committed to fostering compassionate, equitable care and to working collaboratively across disciplines to improve patient outcomes.
