Shawn Lash is a second generation residential and commercial construction builder with deep Gainesville roots. Founded in 1976, Shawn’s Dad, Rob, started the family’s business with two distinct specialized entities. Commercially, Lash Development focused on various construction projects. Throughout Gainesville, chances are you have stepped inside a commercial building built by Lash Development, including the Meridian Center on NW 43rd Street. Residentially, Lash Custom Homes (subsequently Lash Development) influenced the Gainesville custom homes market, including subdivisions such as Lexington Place, Avalon, Weatherstone, Mill Hammock, Willow Creek, Meadowbrook, Ridgemont and Mill Pond. In January, 2022, Shawn distinguished Lash Development’s commercial construction sector from his residential custom home division by aptly naming it Shawn Lash Signature Homes.
