The Italian link in the Prawnbroker Restaurant Groups chain of 10 Florida eateries, Matzaluna opened in 1994 and has become known as Sanibels Italian Kitchen. In addition to Sanibels only wood fired pizza oven, we offer traditional Italian favorites such as Veal Marsala, Shrimp Carbonera, Chicken Puttanesca, Eggplant Parmesan and a wide array of pastas and sauces, available in almost endless combinations. Iron Chef award winner Sal Velez also offers a changing weekly specials menu featuring local seafood, choice steaks and his original chefs creations. Our calamari is crispy, our sauces rich and flavorful, and our herbed olive oil and roast garlic is just waiting for you to dab it with our freshly hot crusty bread. Matzaluna is conveniently located on Periwinkle Way, just a half mile from the causeway, and all of our menu items are available for carry out. Give us a call at (239)472-1998 when you go through the toll booth and your hot crispy pizza (or whatever else you may choose) will be awaiting you.

Family Dining Fun by Laura H on 7/27/2008 via Insider Pages
