The Pork Shoppe is an Avondale barbecue restaurant opening in June 2010. Patrons will be able to pull up a seat at one of two butcher block-topped communal tables and and dig into a menu peppered with organic ingredients and locally raised pork and beef. Booze is limited to bourbon and beer, but there'll be plenty of both. The Pork Shoppe has taken measures to be a green business by using utensils made from recycled materials and biodegradable butcher paper.
