Dr. Sara Fard is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her early background in physiology and nutrition shaped her approach to both prevention and treatment of retinal disease. Dr. Fard joined Illinois Retina Associates in 2025.
