My Review by Alex on 5/11/2014 via GrubHub

Excellent pizza. You have to try the thin crust, but the regular is good too if you're in the mood. Make sure to get either one well done!

We have on many occassions ordered from the Grand Ave. location. Every Single Time....Something gets screwed up. I called to complain. He told me they have never in 45 years received a complaint and...Not to call there anymore because I…

Salerno's Pizzeria by Casey B on 2/9/2010 via Insider Pages

I have eaten here a few times not by choice. The pizza is mediocre and I wasn't very impressed. I only have had carry out and the service was bad, about average. There are plenty of better pizza places around the area, I mean your in…

Not as good as the Mt. Prospect / Des Plaines Salerno's by chigirlaqui on 11/10/2007 via Citysearch

Went to this Salerno's after having a great dining experience at the Salerno's in the Mt. Prospect / Des Plaines area, where the menu is very reasonably priced, the service is good, and the food is exceptional. However, the Grand Ave…

JUST GREAT FOOD by riverwestie on 9/10/2007 via Citysearch

We stopped in this past Friday around 7pm. Place was recommended by a relative since we just moved into the neighborhood. Considering we used to live in Little Italy saying this place has some of the best Italian food we have ever eaten…

My New Favorite by maryesther60 on 9/20/2006 via Citysearch

A friend introducted me a couple of months back and I have visited many times since. I have gone a different times and days, both week days and weekends. The service is wonderful, the food is the best. I am not a big pizza eater but I…

Best Italian home cooking! by snwsnh on 7/9/2006 via Citysearch

Great pizza by John C. on 5/24/2006 via Judy's Book

This place has great pizza, but I have never had a great server to go with it. I am sure that it is a hit or miss thin and I keep on missing, but I if you are the type that gets frustrated quickly then this might not be the best place for…

Had a party there recently.....the food is great! by Mike P. on 4/27/2006 via Judy's Book

I was at Salerno's recently for a surprise birthday party. I had been there once before about 5 years ago and really liked their food. Well I definitely was not disappointed this time. This time I decided to get a mixture of meat and…

wonderful by byrdiblack on 3/19/2006 via Citysearch

Leave it to the historic grand street italian family to make a fantastic thin crust hand tossed pizza! The crust is crunchy, the sauce is just the right sweetness, and the cheese is melty just like in a ninja turtle cartoon, the image I've…

Best Pizza ever by Gina L. on 3/12/2006 via Judy's Book

This is my family’s favorite pizza place in the Chicago area. All of the Italian entrees are pretty good. But it is they’re pizza that takes the cake. I’ve never had anything that compares and you simply must try the original crust. The…

Awesome by peterferro on 5/8/2004 via Citysearch

I've been a Salerno's fan my whole life. I went to the Berwyn locations for years before growing up and moving to the city. The stufeed artichoke is awesome, as is the original hand-tossed pizza. I would even stop in for a jumbo slice. …

Carry-out heaven by manta48 on 7/21/2002 via Citysearch

Carry-out is the word here....this pie tastes good no matter what you have on it, although the sausage and mushroom is excellent!
