Painting is my passion and something that comes from within. I see the world in colors and shapes. I find beauty in every leaf and shadow that the sun and clouds let dance across the earth. My paintings reflect the joy of life as outdoor activities give me inspiration to express my creativity. I majored in art and education and have a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Painting, teaching private art classes, and teaching art for the Fox Valley area has formed my art background. Over the years many students have become accomplished artists. As an artist I use my creativity to restructure reality to be in harmony with my feelings of nature and the world. I am not always a photo realist. I use photos as a reference, a starting point for my imagination to build upon. Color and light may change with the rearrangement of the world as interpreted by me to form more abstract art. It is through this rearrangement of color and light I create original works of art.
