Carlos Moreno, MD

Dr. Carlos Moreno, MD is a highly respected internist with over 25 years of experience serving patients as a primary care physician in Norwood, Massachusetts, and the surrounding cities. He is dedicated to patient care at all stages of life and excels at providing customized care plans for chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease. Dr. Moreno has won multiple patient’s choice awards for his service to the greater Boston area.

Dr. Moreno began his medical education in Colombia and graduated from the Universidad Javeriana in 1968. He completed his residency at Brown University Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island in 1974 and continued to practice medicine in Providence until he was appointed as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Brown from 1983 to 1986. He opened his private practice in Norwood, MA in 1990, where he specializes in Internal Medicine and Primary Care. Dr. Moreno is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Massachusetts Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. He is also on courtesy staff at Steward Norwood Hospital with admitting privileges.
Dr. Moreno is on the medical staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Beth Israel Needham Hospital-Harvard Medical School teaching hospitals. His practice is part of the Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization (BIDCO) physician network. As members of BIDCO, Dr. Moreno's consultants focus on all specialties of internal medicine and are on the faculty of the Harvard Medical School. They partner with Dr. Moreno on the management of his patients with acute and chronic medical conditions as well as on preventive medicine.
Dr. Moreno is dedicated to Continued Medical Education and participates in annual CME courses sponsored by the faculty of the Harvard Medical School. He also supports educational initiatives for new doctors worldwide, from 1996 to 1997 he provided consultation to a partnership between Harvard University Medical School and the Universidad de Antioquia Medical School in Medelli´n, Antioquia, Colombia. This partnership worked to improve medical education and hospital procedures at the Universidad de Antioquia.
