Lakeland a (LMHC) is a private non-profit 501(c)3 corporation that has provided behavioral healthcare services in west central Minnesota since 1949. LMHC has an thirteen (13) member Governing Board comprised of community members representing our service area.

To meet this broad mission and to be responsive to identified needs, many community partnerships have been formed with area schools, clinics and other community providers to ensure coordinated care for our clients ranging in age from from children to seniors. This ensures services can be brought closer to clients who do not live near a LMHC clinic.

Since 1949, LMHC has been providing evaluation and therapy services to residents in West Central Minnesota with offices in Fergus Falls, Moorhead, Detroit Lakes, Alexandria and Glenwood. Our expert staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, clinical nurse specialists, registered nurses, licensed marriage and family counselors, and mental health practitioners.
