Optimal treatment for allergic disorders of all kinds can be achieved through determining the triggers for a patient's symptoms; avoidance of allergens when possible; developing a treatment plan that minimizes symptoms, medication use and side effects; and effective communication between the patient and physician. I believe that by educating patients about their disease and the treatment options available, effective control of symptoms can be achieved.
