Great Southern Capital Corporation is the bank holding company for Great Southern Bank. GSB has 12 offices serving a seven-county area of southeastern Mississippi. The bank was founded in 1902 as Bank of Quitman. In 1981, the name was changed to Great Southern National Bank. In 1996, Great Southern National Bank incorporated all of its branches under one name and established Great Southern Capital Corp. as its holding company. The main office is located in Meridian, Miss.
