Dirty and Unsafe! by scimmia69 on 3/14/2023

The Recovery Racket is huge in Las Vegas and everyone is trying to get their piece of the action from it. I lived here for two months and I voluntarily left and returned to the shelter because it was not a good experience. The first week I was there it was rainy outside. I lived on the second floor and there was a roof access panel in the utility closet. You could see daylight all around the edges. It leaked. It leaked into the electric box for the light in that closet. It would cut off our electricity constantly! We could temporarily restore power by turning on the stove. Anyone that knows about how a 220 outlet (stove) works can see the problem here. I House Mom, Heather, 3 times about it and and she looked at the breaker box the first time. Turning one of the circuits off would turn on the bathroom light. They never sent anyone to fix it. Said it was on the list.....Later I was yelled at for locking the front door by House Mom Heather because all of my roommates didn't have keys. When I went to sleep they all had keys. When she woke me up they were moving in a new roommate and didn't have keys to the apartment in the office. He lived there for two weeks without getting a key so we couldn't lock our apartment for that time. It wasn't until they moved in a 4th roommate that they borrowed my key to make copies. The apartment was so dirty I couldn't/wouldn't cook there until I finally cleaned up the filth that I moved into. The bathroom was equally disgusting. If someone violates their sobriety they are kicked out immediately or shipped to detox. Their stuff is thrown away! It's just nasty and House Mom Heather proves you can take the methhead out of the tunnels, but you can't take the tunnel out of the methhead! They let trash run trash so don't expect much.

Called for my child that was getting out of treatment needed a place to live and work on recovery

Was told to call believe was the manger she was very pleasant on phone provided information I was asking as well invited me to come look at the place. My goodness outside was beautiful however waited about 20 min the apartment walked threw was very unpleasant from the smell to the bed on floor. He moved in anyway court order. They say big on recovery absolutely not only attending on site meeting by same individual no outside meetings as told. Wouldn't even help with him getting to important appointments etc. So got onsite doctor had another client caring and seeing after him do to special needs. Took advantage advantage of by sending rent and food money to be told he only had 99 cent microwave meals I can go on and on became to much he went back out to use told me people there used with him
