I'm not one to kid myself and others with unwarranted hyperbole, but memory tells me that my last order of Chicken Tikka Masala and poorii from Joy was easily best i've ever had. What a surprise!

picky eater that i am, i had a good experience and will re-visit this place next time i'm craving indian. Good Curry Chicken...i always forget what they call it, but i like the not so spicy version. :)
THe best, most friendly Indian Restaurant we've found by SimonBByrd on 11/13/2010 via Citysearch
My wife and I love Indian food. We've tried a lot of places in and around the Park Slope area, as well as several in Manhattan. We have now more or less permanently settled on Joy, because of the consistently good food, and the friendly,…
bland vegetarian Indian food by Dleeskimo on 7/27/2008 via Citysearch
Vegetarians beware! This restaurant serves bland, bland, bland veggie dishes. they also used left-over sauce from my friend's dish to cook mine. It's just wrong.

Ordered take out as usual, but found a big rolly-polly in my Shaag Ponir which made my stomach turn. Enough said.
Not As Good As English Indian. by paintedsheep on 3/15/2006 via Citysearch
I dont know how anyone could say that Joy is as good as, or even close to as good as English Indian food. After spending the last 4 months in England, and developing the habit of having Indian at *least* once a week, I needed to satisfy my…
As good as it gets by colette_ingrid on 2/17/2006 via Citysearch
I lived in London for over a decade and when I moved to Prospect Heights, I was dismayed that no good Indian restaurants existedf here until my husband and I stumbled upon this modest GEM! I love the quail appetizer, lamb madras and…
You people don't know what you are missing! by kaska77 on 12/28/2005 via Citysearch
This place is amazing. The decor is not the greatest in the world, but the food is phenomenal. Their tandoori dinner for two is a phenomenal deal for less than 30 bucks. My boyfriend and I have very healthy appetites and we still…

Some of the best indian i;ve had in new york, and definitely in brooklyn. Great food, prices, service. Nothing I've tried I havent like, but am addicted to the tikka masala, garlic naan, chana saag. Bring your own wine too (which i see as…
Excellent Indian! Add some spice to your life.. by mh004g on 12/1/2005 via Citysearch
An Indian restaurant in Park Slope that knows that Vindaloo is supposed to be spicy! This place is a good value with good food. My husband loves vindaloo, but is vegetarian, so they make chana vindaloo that he swears by. I've had most of…
Yummers! by lalbrght on 11/9/2005 via Citysearch
Park Slope has needed a really good indian place for a LONG time, and finally, this is it! My husband and I go there probably once a week -- he usally gets the Chicken Tikka and I get the Chana Shaag. Other dishes we've tried and which…
Unknown but great by bodiless on 11/1/2004 via Citysearch
This place is wonderful. I don't think they've been around that long, as I only noticed them a few months ago. The service is pretty decent. The waiters are friendly as is the owner who is often there. The chicken tikka makhani is…
