My name is Donald Moodie, born in Kingston, Jamaica. I graduated from Denham town school, after which spent six years in the Jamaican defence force. I started my own music store with the help of Sir Dodd at 1407 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn. Coxson Music City became an instant hit as Studio One was now available all over the country. I spent several years selling records before deciding that I want to go back and make music. Then I started building Don One Sound in 1983 at 2293 Bedford Avenue.
