Restaurant located at 38 Front Street in the heart of Greenport, New York, Salamander’s On Front enjoys a long dining tradition of serving up some of the finest gourmet food in the area. Offering a casual menu with small plates (that are often Asian-inspired) Salamander’s On Front a full-service restaurant and bar serving: breakfast, lunch & dinner, appetizers and house-made desserts. Nearly everything is available to carry out through our specialty food store, and we are open 7 days a week. Food specialties include: Breakfast every day until 2 pm, lunch all day, dinner after 3 pm. Amazingly beautiful Farm-to-Table salads, Fresh Seafood, Claudia’s legendary fried chicken, and sides. Love this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Every time I come the chef has created new dishes with great flavors. She has traveled the world and it shows in her cooking. The breakfast omelets are my favorites for Sunday morning…

They bill themselves as a bakery, but everyone knows that the reason to go to Salamander's is for the fried chicken. The cornbread is okay, the coleslaw pretty good, but that chicken.... yum! I want some now! The rest of the stuff there…
