This location of Lord&Taylor opened in 1941 as the country's first ever branch store and celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. It is undergoing a two-year renovation and expansion project scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2017. After the renovation is complete, shoppers can expect to find an expanded ladies' shoe department (double the size of the previous one), upgraded floors, lighting, fixtures and hardware, refreshed fitting rooms, new service desks, and a new personal shopping office. We welcome you to continue shopping with us as we undergo this renovation! Currently, the rear door near Shelter Rock Road is the only accessible entrance.

This is one of the best department stores in Chicago Hands Down! Lord and Taylor has completely updated their designers and have great hip new designers, for a much younger crowd, expanding the target market. The store is still as classy…
