Waited for years to visit a Krispy Kreme after hearing about them, and was a bit disapointed. the glazed donuts are really good but the cake donuts were dry. Loved the drive through, nice not to have to get out of the car :)

ADDICTIVE! by little_ang on 9/23/2006 via Citysearch

First time I tried these I thought they were too rich and sugary for me. But I developed a taste for the damn things and love them now. They are sooo bad for you but sooo good! Krispy Kreme and a glass of milk-yum.

Krispy Kreme donuts aren't worth buying by fjackson on 7/27/2006 via Citysearch

Anyone who thinks different just hasn't ever eaten a good donut. They're small, overpriced, and of very cheap quality. They rate better than maybe Hostess donuts but worse than any others. I'd recommend almost any donut besides Krispy…

Too sweet? Hello.....IT's A DONUT!!! by retrochic on 7/9/2006 via Citysearch

I agree they are a bit on the pricey side, but when my sweet tooth kicks into high gear, I head to KK. I do miss their lemon filled, those were the best out of all the varieties. I really wish they'd bring it back, but its probably a good…

What's all the Hype About by A N. on 4/10/2006 via Judy's Book

I have to admit, there is nothing quite better than a Krispy Kreme donut, right off the production line. However, if they are not "hot now", then they don't taste any better than the donuts I get at the Safeway bakery. I think they are…

Krispy Kreme longevity by gbenner on 10/17/2003 via Citysearch

The one really good thing about Krispy Kreme doughnuts is they are still edible for several days. Most store bought doughnuts can be used for door knockers within a day or two of purchase. 8 seconds in a microwave with a 4 day old Krispy…

Mmmm.....Doughnuts! by zwingman on 10/3/2003 via Citysearch

Why would there be so much hype about doughnuts if they weren't that good? These are by far the best doughnuts I have tasted. If you have them later, pop them in the microwave for 15 seconds and you almost get the same wonderful feeling…

Over-Rated by dballski on 10/2/2003 via Citysearch

I was really disappointed, real gooeyand too much sugar. I won't go back and can tell you I really prefer other donut shops in Portland. I am not much into sweets and really prefer a good bagel with a cup of coffee not some over-hyped…

No kripsy dream.. more like a nightmare by stillcrazy52 on 10/2/2003 via Citysearch

The idea of warm doughnuts fresh from the cooking pot is heavenly. Alas, the sickly sweet dip these fresh little pastries goes through makes the anticipation of a tasty treat for nought. The doughnut is far too sweet to make this a…

SuZhou by zhousu on 10/2/2003 via Citysearch

I'm back. New York's "Krispy Kreme" doughnuts are overrated, and overpriced. It's the hype that's selling them. Go to Beaverton Bakery, and several other good bakeries, in the area, and try a comparable "HOT" glazed doughnut. You will…

IGNORANCE IS BLISS!! by ashbrook on 10/1/2003 via Citysearch

Ten years ago, when I relocated from the Southern part of the US to the Northwest, I realized that coffee (in this part of the US) was unlike any I had ever tasted. Simply WONDERFUL, and so many wonderful coffees to savor!! A whole…

So What! by cyerton on 10/2/2003 via Citysearch

I have eaten those doughnuts all over the east coast. They are nothing really new. Now that they are here, they are no different. Sure, you get to see how they are made! But whoopie, There are just as good in other doughnut shops

The Donunt of all donuts by donutboy on 10/1/2003 via Citysearch

There has been much talk recently about the invasion of Krispy Kreme donuts into out fair city. For those who have had them, it is a gift from above. Still many fail to see the beauty. It is just a donut, they say. They're good ... but…
