Here's some background of our company. Gypsy Rose started in 1987 in a barn in beautiful Bucks County PA. We are a family owned business that offers personal customer service creative marketable goods at affordable prices. Since day one of Gypsy Rose our priorities have not changed. Numero Uno is to satisfy you the customer, with quality products at a fair price with good service and prompt delivery. We also continue to fight for our environment and protect its inhabitants, big and small. We donate a percentage of our profits to charitable organizations that are trying to make the world a better place. We print our catalog on recycled paper with soy ink, recycle all of our computer paper, junk mail and old catalogs for packaging and we re-use as many old boxes as possible, so don’t be shocked if you get a Sam Adams box at your door with a Gypsy Rose label on it. Here are some key things you should know about Gypsy Rose: We are a family owned business striving to keep other families afloat. Pay higher wages here and abroad to workers. We are an advocate of fair trade. We donate clothing to the homeless shelter. Environmentally conscious efforts (recycling, reusing, spreading awareness) On behalf of Gypsy Rose aid was provided to areas in India affected by the catastrophic 2004 Tsunami just weeks after this tragedy ( medical supplies, school uniforms, school supplies, fishing nets, rice, kitchen utensils, etc.) On behalf of Gypsy Rose aid was provided to Panabaj, Guatemala near Lake Atitlan after devastating mudslides caused by Hurricane Stan in 2005 ( Water purification systems, gathering of blankets and clothing, food for homeless, organization of a seed bead co-op to help locals strengthen their community by providing jobs, etc.) Working with a co-op in Nepal which is a shelter for single women and their children providing them with food, shelter, and jobs as well as a way to carry on their proud ethnic artisan traditions. Helping out Tashi- Lhunpo a Tibetan Buddhist Monk monastery in India which makes Shing Kham Kun Kyab incense. These are just some examples of our efforts to help the earth and humanity.
