The Aikibudokan was founded by L. F. Wilkinson Sensei and Lynn Wilkinson Sensei with the assistance of some of their fromer students from their prior dojo. They had been senior students and assistant teachers in several martial arts for many years and based upon their experiences they saw the need for a dojo designed around concepts sometimes pushed aside in favor of more commercially oriented management ideas.

Was looking for a martial arts school that taught old forms and self-defense and not sports with all the hard work and injuries that involves. Found The Aikibudokan just off the freeway and easy to get to but not in a glossy strip center with lots of traffic. Found a real value. Adults only. No kids. Classically trained. Large classes and lots of black belts. Worth the look if you want real martial arts without the sports issues or the technicolor uniforms. No contracts and very reasonably priced.
