Joan S. Purcell , MD

Joan S. Purcell, MD, has practiced medicine since 1995. She offers comprehensive care for teens and provides treatment options for a variety of conditions including menstrual problems, mood and eating disorders, contraception and non-operative sports injuries. She also works with patients and their families to develop, set and achieve health goals in a supportive environment. She credits her success by focusing on patient wellness combined with her sense of humor and transparency. Her experience as a collegiate basketball player, previous position as team physician for youth rugby, and assisting high school and college football teams gives her a unique advantage when treating athletes.
