Not good at all. I will never return. Not only was the service horrible but the food was kind of gross. The meat in the fajitas tasted like it had sat in the fridge for three days too long. Really horrible.

Best Mexican Restaurant In Town! by your5335 on 2/21/2010 via Citysearch

One of the first Mexican restaurants in SLC, this restaurant shows the traditional style in their food. Try their ? n ? it's a nice twist on the Tex-Mex classic of nachos. Their chimichangas are crunchy and are filled with whatever meat…

Nice Family Owned Restaurant by DPhil on 2/21/2010 via Citysearch

Not worth the price by Kelly Jo on 10/19/2009 via Citysearch

I have eaten at El Farols since I was young. I always order the same thing everytime I go in. I use to be able to eat a nice hot lunch for under $5.00. Now to get the same thing it costs me over $7.00, that for only a Beef Hard shell Taco…

Not worth the time by garagerock101 on 7/17/2009 via Citysearch

We ate here tonight after seeing their 4 1/2 star review total. I was surprised how many people seemed to enjoy the place. I ordered bean burrito-which came out looking as though someone just threw it together and popped it in the…

Below average and not authentic by dbd4 on 1/15/2009 via Citysearch

After reading other reviews, we tried this place and were really disappointed. I love good, authentic Mexican food. In most Mexican restaurants, a good sign of authenticity is a large number of Mexican people eating at the restaurant. …

The Best Mexican food in Utah by JameeJ on 12/2/2008 via Citysearch

I have been eating at El Farols since I was a baby. Now I am 26. I love it. The food is excellent as is the service. I enjoy the cheese enchaladas and crisp taco's. I also absolutely adore the bean dip! And I do like the Chips and…

Disappointing Experience by d1ang on 6/11/2008 via Citysearch

We may have made the mistake of both ordering the same thing however the smoothered burritos are nothing to write home about. The chili verde burritos ended up being a tortilla soaked in bland green chili (no spice whatsoever). Maybe we…

Absolute best mexican food in Utah by Jimmy32 on 4/3/2008 via Citysearch

Absolute best mexican food in Utah. If you eat here, you must order the 1/2 and 1/2 appetizer. The beans are incredible. The salsa is incredible. made from scratch each day - and it never tastes the same -but it's aways good. Local…

Voted Hispanic Business of the Year 2007! by PanchoChiquis on 2/16/2008 via Citysearch

Hispanic Business of the year 2007. The food is made from scratch. Nothing pretentious on the menu, just great homemade food. If you have a wheat allergy, they have plenty of choices that are great. Prices are fantastic. I can get a…

Friendly and Clean! by brittneyjoy on 7/6/2007 via Citysearch

very tasty food, although the chip sauce (like tomato soup?) left something to be desired. try the tamales enchilada style, they are a little on the dry side otherwise but extremely delicious! pass on the sopapillas...get a dairy queen on…

Wonderful Service by lisa0207 on 5/7/2007 via Citysearch

This is great mexican restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The service was great the food was wonderful. The chili verde was the best I've ever tasted (next to moms of course). The salsa, however, left much to be desired but overall…

El Farol by Nancy M. on 6/20/2006 via Judy's Book

El Farol is a Mexican Restaurant located on 7200 So. and just west of State Street. It's the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been too. The salsa is to die for. My favorite dish is the Mexican Plate. It comes with and enchillada, a…

Authentic Mexican Restaurant by Julia C. on 8/17/2005 via Judy's Book

El Farol is a great Mexican restaurant. It's one that is the closest to authentic Mexican cuisine around. The atmosphere inside is that of a hispanic flair. You'll love the food and the service is impeccable. They have great chips and…

I also have yet to be dissappointed by El Farol! This is a fantastic little Mexican diner that has been open for (if I remember correctly) like 20 years in the same location. The food is fantastic (very large portion sizes) the service is…

Excellent, Fresh, and Authentic Mexican by packattack on 5/17/2003 via Citysearch

I am yet to be disappointed by El Farol. A great little family-run restaurant in Midvale. My wife had never liked Mexican food until she tried El Farol's Chimichanga. I prefer the Chile Verde. The tortillas are so soft and warm. The…
