The vision of the BYU Math Education Department is that students in mathematics classrooms at all levels (elementary, secondary, and postsecondary) will be engaged in authentic mathematical work; will develop deep, connected understanding of mathematics; and will be empowered to effectively use their mathematical knowledge outside the classroom.
