Grounds Maintenance is responsible for mowing approximately 145 acres of lawn. We edge over 72 miles between the lawn and sidewalk with a machine or by hand, if necessary. Grounds Maintenance hand-pulls weeds from flower and tree beds and weed whips around trees, shrubs, and walls. We rake up leaves and use leaf blowers to clean sidewalks of debris. We also clean up litter and empty trash cans across campus.
