Our exquisite restaurant offers home-cooked, "all-you-can-eat" breakfast including scrambled eggs, bacon, Chesapeake-style fried potatoes, home-made fried break, and more. Or enjoy our famous "family style" lunch and dinner, which includes Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes (They're home-made from the Chesapeake Blue Crab), Chesapeake Style Clam Fritters, Virginia Ham, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Pickled Beets, Apple Sauce, Green Beans, and more! Hilda Crockett's Chesapeake House is the oldest operating bed and breakfast on Tangier Island. It has run continuously since 1939, when it first opened as a boarding house. Our bed and breakfast has 8 rooms- 5 in the main house & 3 located across the street above our restaurant. The main house features a sitting room that has a coffee center, and lots of books and articles about Tangier Island that are available for our guests. Both houses feature a screened porch that seems to be a favorite place to gather. Breakfast and dinner is also included in the stay cost. Upon making reservations for overnight accommodations, our staff will pick you up either at the dock where the Tangier Tour Boats come in, the Tangier Airport, or the Tangier Marina.
