The international newsstand, casual atmosphere, and regular clientele make cafe Presse feel as if it could easily fit in on the Left Bank. The funky vibe doesn't hint at the caliber of the cuisine. Owned by Joanne Herron and Jim Drohman of… Read Full Editorial

Can take kids by Sahar F. via KidScore on 7/19/2012

It's a bit crowded inside, unless you find a sit at the back, but they also offer outdoor sitting which would be good if you have strollers. Great menu options and good quality with cheap price.

My Review by KidScore via KidScore on 6/25/2012

Located on Capitol Hill, caf presse is a great place to stop in for some artisan coffee in the morning or afternoon. The shop is open from 7am to 1:...

Good if you can get a seat in the back by Sirima S. via KidScore on 5/29/2012

Like the food and coffee. They have an excellent lentil salad with fish, french sandwiches, and good fries. It can be kid friendly if you get a seat...

HOT N Tasty by Amy M. via Judy's Book on 1/3/2012

Great sandwiches and fries. I think of it as my french choice for comfort food. Kid Friendly.

Favorite French Bistro by Jenny J. via Judy's Book on 12/29/2011

Like this place to hang out on the laptop, drink good coffee, eat lunch or breakfast and people watch. If you bring your kid ask for a booth in the back, otherwise it's not kid friendly.

Love this French Cafe by Sirima S. via Judy's Book on 12/11/2011

They do get busy on weekends but like coming here for brunch/lunch on weekdays. Favorites include the fish, lentil salad, croque's, fries, and french press coffee.

Great breakfast, free wifi by davidmihm via Citysearch on 7/27/2011

Always enjoy coming to Cafe Presse for the delicious baguettes and decadent Croque Madames. Free wifi is a nice bonus, even if I would prefer the NW Stumptown to the (still quite good) European blends used by Presse.

Could Be Better by Nancy S via Insider Pages on 5/6/2009

This place is an adorable little spot, but the menu is a bit limited (not a lot for vegetarians) and pricey. One of the highlights about this place is that they run European Football (soccer) games all day long and they have a great…

food always hits its mark by playfair via Citysearch on 2/23/2009

i love presse! I love Presse! The mussels, the sardine salad, the rillette, the cold chicken! I can't get enough. The food follows the seasons and always hits its mark! And whoever that blue-eyed hostess is, I'm sweet on her.

Come with an appetite by Crystal M via Insider Pages on 12/7/2008

My husband and I came to Cafe Presse for brunch and left with satisfied stomachs and planning when we could come back. The Croque Monsieur was delicious and Pan au Chocolat hit the spot. Well made espresso and good service made the…

New favorite place by Paige B via Insider Pages on 11/18/2008

I've been to Cafe Presse twice for dinner in the past month. I love the cozy, warm interior and the friendly, relaxed staff. You feel like you could linger for hours just like in France! The portions are generous, delicious, and the…

Great Place! by Diane D via Insider Pages on 11/5/2008

This place is pretty new, and it has great prices. It is a comfortable place to come for a light snack alone with a book, or to meet up with friends. Beautiful interior.

Surprising by aaron98101 via Citysearch on 11/2/2008

I was a little hesitant to try this place because of some of the not-so-stellar reviews here and because I know so little about French cuisine. I was enormously and pleasantly surprised. My friend and I had dinner at around 8:00 last…

Wonderful people and wonderful food by archiepz via Citysearch on 10/30/2008

I love Cafe Presse and don't know what I would do without it. Everyone there is so amazing and friendly. I particularly adore the platinum blonde, I think her name is Heather. I agree with girlkitty! I remember Heather from Pichet too.…

Disappointing by pakiannie via Citysearch on 9/21/2008

Not too excited to return, there are better places on Cap Hill to grab a nice lunch.

I love that platinum blonde!! by girlkitty via Citysearch on 9/16/2008

It's hard to believe that anyone would have anything bad to say about that platinum blonde woman. She's been serving me for years at Pichet and now at Presse, and she's always taken great care of me! She's attentive and informative. And I…

Bad, snooty, bitchy server by pinkppr via Citysearch on 7/29/2008

Service is a joke there. Sat there, ignored us for the longest time. When we flagged someone down, someone else came over with a horrible annoyed attitude. Rushed us to order, and when we got our food, we were never checked up to see how…

Good food by TheMemberName via Citysearch on 7/18/2008

I like most of the food, and the hours and prices are good. They usually give free bread and butter, both of which are soft and enjoyable. Sometimes, though, they'll forget (or decide they don't care?) and the person waiting your table…

My Favorite Place, Morning, Noon and Night. by abcdefg09 via Citysearch on 6/4/2008

I'm white and I always get great service. jitrata03 and chonpz, I think you're on to something here. Cafe Presse must be...\r \r Get real, people, white, asian or otherwise. If you don't like the Capitol Hill attitude, stay on the…

Bad service by jitrata03 via Citysearch on 5/22/2008

I have been there twice because food, atmosphere and serives are really good at the first time. But tonight, my friend and I had dinner there. I was so happy with food but very disappoint and very upset for the services. My friend and I…
