Ok, so after going to just about every sushi resturant in Seattle, gotta say I just love Sam's. Located on lower Queen Anne (and close to Key Area if you are going to a concert, basketball game, etc.), this is your ideal neighborhood sushi…
Consistantly good sushi by carol b on 8/27/2009 via Insider Pages
This was some of our first Sushi in Seattle years ago and surprisingly we still consider it a good place to go. They have all the regulars like tuna, yellow tail and salmon and the prices are reasonable.
Great People - Great Location for a Neighborhood Place by bradleytwalsh on 2/17/2009 via Citysearch
This is one of the local spots in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood where you can go for a good in or take out order. The fish quality is pretty good, the rice fresh, and the soups like the vegetable or beef udon are great for a cold day.…
Great Service, O.K. Sushi by jmong on 9/11/2007 via Citysearch
Fast and attentive service! Although, a lot of rice included and not much fish, and a little pricier than an average low-key sushi bar.
Reasonable Prices on Average Sushi by shetharbozenai on 8/23/2006 via Citysearch
There is nothing spectacular about this place, but the prices are reasonable for the food. A lot of rolls are about $5 and are pretty good size. We ordered the lobster roll ($9) and deep-fried cream cheese spicy tuna roll ($6). The food…
Not bad for a pre-game or movie soosh hit by t0adman on 5/9/2006 via Citysearch
Don't expect to be wowed by Sam's. It's not bad but it's not amazing. The prices are fair and some items are better than others (ask the server what's freshest and press them past "it's all fresh"). The decor is bland and stereotypical.…
Making sushi a comfort food by Chad M. on 3/12/2006 via Judy's Book
Sam's seems to be taking the opposite approach to most Seattle sushi places: low-key, unassuming, fresh, and reasonably priced. It's right next to the Uptown Theatre, but it's one of those places that for some reason is easy to miss. But I…

Sam's sushi--Easy to walk by without a second look, but this place has the best sushi in Seattle and at reasonable prices. There is retired CEO of a large Japanese company who makes a point of going to Sam's.I just took a sushi-fiend friend…
FAVORITE SUSHI RESTAURANT by khaiboo on 4/22/2004 via Citysearch
Besides the quality of the sushi and the food in this cozy restaurant, I was drawn in and made very comfortable and welcome by Sam and his staff. Sam always tries to have a personal touch with is customers, specially if you frequent there…
not great for the price by asianeats on 10/21/2003 via Citysearch
Ordered salmon terriyaki and chicken terriyaki to go for 7.50 each. It included dried out fish and chicken with little flavor. At least the portion size could have made up for the paltry execution. Don't eat here if you have the chance to…
yeeeeeuck! by foood_duuude on 1/10/2003 via Citysearch
I just ate the worst sushi I can remember eating in recent history. It was late, most of my favorite places were closed, and I didn't feel like driving far. Shame on anyone who recommended this place! I trusted your good reviews ... never…

Sam's sushi is a cozy and friendly place to have sushi. It is clean and fresh. The price is very reasonable and the owner is great. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent Sushi!! by EmilyJ on 12/29/2002 via Citysearch
Sam's is wonderful!! There are a lot of Sushi places in Seattle and we keep going back to this one. Good for Sushi "to go" also. Good prices, good service, good location... and Sam, the owner, is pretty funny too!! Always has the local…

Super Sushi by beckhall on 6/17/2002 via Citysearch
We have turned all our friends onto Sam's Sushi on Queen Anne! The value is great and even during the busiest lunch hours, Sam has a smile and hello for us. There is always room for larger groups if you call ahead. Don't miss the best…
