He obtained his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and earned his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH. He completed his internship at North Shore University Health System in Evanston, IL and his residency in neurology at Northwestern University-Chicago. He completed his fellowship in neurophysiology at the University of Chicago.
