The air outside La Farine, a French-style bakery on College Avenue, is heavy with the aromas of sugar and yeast. Inside, the staff dispenses morning buns, pain au chocolat and brioche, which you can enjoy at the communal table in the… Read Full Editorial

Great Sweets! by Cheryl S via Insider Pages on 2/13/2009

La Farine makes deliciously light and flavorful croissants. Awesome for a quick breakfast bite (forget about calorie-counting though!) They also do a bang-up job on the baguettes and baked bread. Waiting in line seems like welcome torture…

Great Bread by Wendy W via Insider Pages on 8/11/2005

There is nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread wafting out onto the street, or the taste of yeasty, warm bread fresh from the oven. So if you aren't inclined to bake your own break, then go to La Farine. You'll enjoy the aroma, and…

The hype is well deserved by foodlover7 via Citysearch on 8/22/2002

They led the recent San Francisco Magazine "125 Best Things to Eat" article for good reason -- La Farine's morning buns are what you'd get if a croissant and a brioche had an affair in a cinnamon bun factory. Absolutely delicious, and…
