The name BAKSTON, where did it come from? That’s a great question – just like the company, GREAT!

BAKSTON started back in the day when everyone was worried about the Y2K scare, the turn of the century.
Many people thought and even voiced that starting a new freight company in St. George Utah was foolish, but for Darrell BAKer and Jed
JohnSTON that was motivation by itself. Darrell and Jed joined forces to create a new type of company in the FREIGHT BIZ.
They believed you only make promises that you intend to keep. WOW! What a concept!

The BAK of BAKer and the STON of JohnSTON was a great fit. Not to mention the catchy slogan that came about – “We’ll take a TON off your BAKS”
BAKSTON isn’t your typical trucking company; it thrives due to wonderful relationships developed with customers (who actually are the ones that have made BAKSTON successful).
Okay, the staff at BAKSTON has a little to do with the success, too. BAKSTON drivers are professional and treat you and your freight as if it were their own.
