I love Abbey's Real Texas BBQ....they always have the same regulars and everybody knows everyone. The food is excellent and I love the sampler plate...a little taste of everything.

Excellent tasting food, the fried okra is pretty good. It is pretty pricey though for the good stuff. And, it could take awhile if you're trying to go there for lunch, so plan a lot of time.

Great bbq location in Kearny Mesa. Cheap, tons of food and very nice staff. Only complaint is that they're only open on weekdays - I always seem to crave it on weekends. They cater too, a plus! Mmmm Abbey's!

Don't be disuaded by the strip mall location. This is hard wood, slow smoked meat. The smoke flavor of the brisket and pork was very good. Very tender also. The beans were pretty good..a little too much pepper maybe. I liked the BBQ…
