Our story….
Nature’s Food Patch was founded in 1987 by Mr. Amort after being diagnosed with cancer. He decided to fight the cancer by living a macrobiotic lifestyle. With his desire and passion in wanting to help others improve their health, he decided to buy and refurbish the Clearwater Community Co-op (est. 1976)… and The Patch was born! For 35 years, his enthusiastic support for the natural foods movement lives on. His children preserve his legacy by continuing to inspire the community through knowledge and providing better nutrition for a healthier lifestyle. In 2018, The Patch is expanding their community and opening a second location in Downtown Dunedin!

Nature's Food Patch has been in Clearwater since 1987. Their second location opened in Dunedin, FL in 2018. The clearwater store has been an icon since the old hippie health food store days complete with bulk grains, soy milk & wheatgrass juice! They still have all those things and a whole lot more! Alternative milks take up a lot more retail shelf space these days! The Clearwater location is a full-fledged natural foods grocer with a deli & café. The produce is mostly organic and fresh, the Wellness department is huge! Herbs, vitamins, supplements, body care, essential oils, homeopathic... you name it and they got it for health & healing. HUGE grab & go, AMAZING salad bar, hot bar with homemade soups and different selections daily. I can't say enough good things about this place! No matter what your diet; vegan, vegetarian, keto, paleo, gluten-free, GMO-free, they can accommodate. It'll soon be your favorite place besides maybe home :)
