Jay Latzman, Owner & Chief Inspector of Up Close Home Inspection is a Certified Master Inspector, an expert in the field of real estate inspection and a Michigan Institute of Real Estate Certified Home Inspector. Jay graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from Madonna University in Livonia, where he majored in emergency management with a focus on building construction and inspection & survey of facilities. Jay is a course graduate of 29 separate fields of study with regard to real estate inspection. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded Jay with 11 certifications in areas such as residential structural safety and hazardous materials. In 2015, Jay was awarded the Gerry Beaumont Educational Achievement Award by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.
